Applied Human Nutrition The Department of Applied Human Nutrition offers two Master’s programs in Applied Human Nutrition: the thesis-based Master of Science Applied Human Nutrition (MSc AHN) and the applied (non-thesis) Master of Applied Human Nutrition (MAHN). Both of these programs will give you the chance explore the theories and research that support professional practice in the fields of human nutrition and dietetics.

Child & Youth Study Our thesis-based Master of Arts program in Child and Youth Study will help you to develop an understanding of issues that affect children and youth in our region, in Canada, and around the world.

Public Relations and Communication Studies The Department of Communication Studies offers two graduate level degree streams: the Master of Arts (Communication) and the Master of Public Relations. Both graduate programs are designed to advance the profession through developing leadership in public relations theory and practice.

Education The Faculty of Education offers unique graduate options you won’t find anywhere else.  Our graduate off-campus program and cohorts in education are unique partnerships with teachers and community organizations where we design graduate programs to meet their specific needs.

Family Studies and Gerontology Our Master’s programs are unique in Atlantic Canada. Both the thesis-based Master of Arts in Family Studies and Gerontology and the applied (non-thesis) Master of family Studies and Gerontology will help you develop a deep understanding of the key issues that affect this field. You can focus your studies on Family Studies or on Gerontology.

Women & Gender Studies Our thesis-based Master of Arts degree is offered cooperatively by Mount Saint Vincent University and Saint Mary’s University. In this interdisciplinary program, you will have the opportunity to work with faculty and graduate students at both universities, exploring both the theories behind feminism and gender study, as well as the ways in which these ideas reflect and impact many aspects of our everyday lives.
