University of Toronto Admission Average for Engineering

What is the cut-off mark for U of T Engineering?

The minimum required average varies from year to year based upon the number of applicants and the caliber of grades presented. Typically successful candidates to the Faculty have grades ranging (all ranges stated to a maximum of 100%):

Low 90’s Engineering Science
High 80’s Chemical, Computer, Electrical, and General First Year
Mid 80’s Civil, Industrial,  Materials, Mechanical and Mineral

Please note that these are the recommended averages and do not guarantee admission into the program. The Admissions Committee assesses the overall academic history and  Online Student Profile of each candidate before making an admissions decision.

Anticipated Admission Grade Ranges for Fall 2017

Admission Category Grade Range
Computer Science low 90s
Humanities low to mid 80s
Life Sciences low to mid 80s
Physical and Mathematical Sciences low to mid 80s
Rotman Commerce mid to high 80s
Social Sciences low to mid 80s

Please note that admission grade ranges are approximate, and can change from one year to the next. To be competitive for admission we recommend students have a minimum average of 80 per cent.
